In this write-up, you will find listed the common intervals and their translation into fret distances. It is intended to introduce students to musical intervals and to become aware of their presence among the frets along the neck.

I have found that so doing early on in learning to play the guitar or comparable plucked string instrument adds a level of awareness which leads to greater understanding and musical insight.
