Description
This introduction was written to expand upon the instructions usually found in beginning piano method books in teaching the names of the musical keys.
It consists of a set of exercises written towards this end.
Through imaginative manipulation of key choices, any new or returning keyboard student will eventually get to know with increasing certainty the names of the keys on any musical keyboard.
I routinely use this introduction and its companion, “Introductory Keyboard Finger Skills”, from the start with my new keyboard/piano/organ students. I have found that so doing handles these needs quite efficiently and in short order.
